About Kakinada Gateway Port
The Kakinada Gateway port is a dedicated port positioned as all-weather, deep-water and multi-cargo, being developed in Auro Industrial City. It comes equipped with a Draft of 19 meters and 11 berths to handle containers, general cargo, liquid cargo, chemicals, LNG and POL. The port is being developed on the sea front of 7km and would have a backup area of around 1200 acres and dedicated railway connectivity to the trunk lines of Indian Railways.

In-Zone All-Weather Deep Sea Commercial Port
- Kakinada Gateway Port is an all-weather, multi-cargo, deep-draft, Greenfield Commercial Port is being developed adjacent to the Industrial City in Kakinada District, Andhra Pradesh.
- The Port is spread over an area of approximately 1650 acres and is expected to handle 16 million tonnes of cargo per annum in the first phase with 2 general cargo berths and 1 coal berth.
- It has already received Environment Clearance and Consent for Establishment.
- In Phase-2 the Port is expected to handle liquid cargo including crude and petroleum oil products, with the final plan of 8 – 11 berths being built at the port.
- The Port has a seafront of approximately 6 km with a proposed draft of 17+ mts enabling it to handle Cape Size vessels (120,000 DWT).
